    André Breton - Nadja

    15.00€

Nadja (1928), one of the first surrealist novels, was considered by the author to be his key work.

Making use of an assumed fusion of genres and an abundance of photographs by Man Ray and Jacques-André Boiffard, André Breton tells the story, a mixture of dream and reality, of the narrator's brief and tempestuous relationship with Nadja, a “wandering soul”, a tragic and mysterious young woman with whom he is bizarrely fascinated. And it is through this woman's eyes that he is transported on a wander through Paris and, at the same time, on a deep search for himself, an attempt to answer the seminal question with which the narrative opens: “Who am I?” This work was revised and reissued by the author in 1963.
