Isabel Minhós Martins - Mais Alto!

History isn’t just something we learn from ruins or treaties. Music can also be historical documents, offering us clues about what life was like in a particular place and time: what concerned people, what dreams moved them, what injustices saddened them, or, on the other hand, what made them happy.

Mais Alto! is a narrated concert that originated at the LU.CA Theatre in Lisbon and is now presented as a book-and-record. Here, we find songs by José Afonso, José Mário Branco, Rita Lee, Titãs, Nuno Prata, Clã, and Luís Severo. The lyrics to these songs are also included (so we can all sing along!) along with some of the stories behind these creations.

All that’s left to say is: Sing with us, loud and clear! The world needs it.
