Marília Miranda - Duendouro

Duendouro is a Douro River elf who inhabits a magical world, as do Dourato (the villain) and the Giant with Legs (a supporting character). These characters are featured in this play which tells the story of the Douro River's journey from its source to its mouth, and how this river, like a child, questions its identity and the things and beings that surround it. This play, permeated by the theme of environmental preservation, also recounts how our hero Duendouro manages to save his land from the criminal hands of Dourato, with the help of Ferreirinha and the Giant with Legs.
