Michel is a Parisian civil servant, single, in his forties, cynical and apathetic. His father's death overnight makes him the heir to a fortune that will allow him to live comfortably without having to work. He then decides to take a vacation to Thailand, determined to forget everything and immerse himself in a myriad of exotic pleasures. In the world's oasis of sex tourism, he meets Valérie, an employee of a travel agency.
