The friend of artist Naomi Akimoto passed away from a cancer for which there is still no cure in modern medicine.

Even after being told she has only six months to live, she chooses to make the most of that time. Her mother recommends a macrobiotic diet, her boyfriend suggests a treatment with no scientific proof, and everyone around her comes together to help her keep living.
