Crimes & Passions in Invicta brings together around twenty forensic tales from a city known for its good manners, but which, in its history, has followed a path marked by crimes and schemes.

The book presents these stories in chronological order, from the early 1800s to the most recent events. Based on contemporary news reports and, at times, on the author's own recollections, the reality of these events often surpasses fiction, especially as we follow the lives of several figures who left their mark on Porto’s criminal history, from Zé do Telhado to Siga, "The King of the Pasteleira".
