Daniel Catarino - Megafauna

Megafauna is the first album in Daniel Catarino’s “Bioma Trilogy”, released on 5 May 2023 by the independent label Saliva Diva.

With a raw and direct approach, the record blends singer-songwriter sensitivity with the power of a rock trio, delivering intense and immersive songs. The lyrics explore themes such as animal exploitation, environmental collapse, artistic precarity and the human condition, shifting between irony and disillusionment. Musically, it moves through psychedelic textures and sharp-edged riffs, supported by a driving bass and resonant drums, shaping a soundscape that feels both urgent and reflective. It’s an album of protest and introspection, grounded yet wide-eyed.
