Madrugada – Grit

Grit is the third album by Norwegian band Madrugada, released on October 20, 2002.

With a rawer and more experimental sound than their previous works, the album incorporates influences from krautrock and garage rock. Produced by Frode Jacobsen and Howard "Head" Bullivant, Grit features tracks like "Blood Shot Adult Commitment", "Ready", and "Majesty", showcasing the band's ability to create dense and emotional atmospheres. The album's title was inspired by a passage from Henry Miller's novel Tropic of Cancer, referring to the thick black soot that shipyard workers accumulate on their hands.
