Madrugada – The Nightly Disease

The Nightly Disease is the second album by Norwegian band Madrugada, originally released on December 20, 2001, and reissued in 2022 in a remastered edition.

With a darker and more introspective sound than its predecessor Industrial Silence, the album blends alternative rock, blues, and atmospheric elements, standing out as one of the band’s most intense and emotional works. Tracks like "Black Mambo," "Step Into This Room and Dance for Me," and "Hands Up – I Love You" highlight the group’s ability to build tense, melancholic soundscapes. Produced by John Agnello together with the band, the album was remastered by Greg Calbi and re-released with a refreshed sound that preserves the raw emotional weight of the original recordings. The 2022 reissue offers a renewed opportunity to (re)discover one of the most powerful records from the Scandinavian alternative scene, which achieved gold status in Norway.
