Mão Morta – Maldoror (Ltd)
42.00€
Drawing inspiration from The Songs of Maldoror, the visionary literary work by Isidore Ducasse (Count of Lautréamont), Mão Morta created a multidisciplinary performance where music intertwines with theater, video, and poetic recitation. The stage becomes a child's toy room—a metaphor for unrestrained imagination—where the voices of the hero Maldoror and the narrator Lautréamont unfold in fragmented yet vividly expressive scenes, mirroring the dreamlike, nonlinear nature of the original text.
In this grotesque and surreal world, populated by fantastical and disturbing creatures, a child manipulates toys and gives life to the fusion of author, narrator, and character—bringing to the stage vivid excerpts from the book as if they were interlinked songs, devoid of a conventional ending. Like a nightmare interrupted, the performance concludes suddenly—as if the child were called to dinner at the height of play.
This triple black vinyl edition, housed in a tri-gatefold sleeve, is strictly limited to 400 numbered copies, making it a rare and exclusive collector's item for fans of Mão Morta and the dark literary universe of Lautréamont.
