Mr. Bungle – Disco Volante

One of the most adventurous and unpredictable experimental rock albums of the 1990s, this second release by American band Mr. Bungle, originally issued in 1995, takes listeners on a journey through a wide range of musical landscapes.

Led by Mike Patton’s remarkably versatile vocals, the band combines metal, jazz, electronic music, avant-garde, surf rock and circus-inspired sounds, creating an experience that is as chaotic as it is fascinating. Constant shifts in rhythm, unexpected atmospheres and unconventional arrangements make this an album that defies easy categorisation. Highlights include “Carry Stress in the Jaw”, “Desert Search for Techno Allah”, “Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz” and “The Bends”, showcasing the band’s creativity and fearless approach to music. This 2025 remastered edition is pressed on translucent light blue double vinyl, includes the bonus track “Mind Emissions” and comes in a gatefold sleeve.
