SML - Small Medium Large

Small Medium Large is the debut album from the quintet SML, released on June 28, 2024 by International Anthem.

Recorded live across four improvisational sessions at ETA in Los Angeles between October 2022 and April 2023, the material was later shaped and refined in the band members’ home studios. The result is a dynamic blend of experimental jazz, electronics, funk, ambient and dub, with hypnotic textures and a strong rhythmic core. The album features thirteen concise tracks, including Rubber Tree Dance, Industry, Search Bar Hi Hat and Dolphin Language, presenting a series of improvised sketches edited with care and imagination. Widely praised by critics, it stands as one of the most refreshing releases in today’s experimental music landscape.
