The Honeydrippers – Volume One (EP)

The Honeydrippers – Volume One is an EP released in November 1984 by the supergroup assembled by Robert Plant.

The project originated from Atlantic Records president Ahmet Ertegun’s wish to record his favorite 1950s songs. The line‑up brings together heavyweight artists: Robert Plant (vocals), Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck (guitars), Nile Rodgers (guitar and co‑production), Paul Shaffer (keyboards), Dave Weckl (drums), and Wayne Pedzwater (bass). The EP features five covers — “I Get a Thrill,” “Sea of Love,” “I Got a Woman,” “Young Boy Blues,” and “Rockin’ at Midnight” — delivering a spirited tribute to classic rock’n’roll and rhythm & blues.
