Vanishing Twin - Archives (cream)

Vanishing Twin’s Archives is a playful, open-ended record built from shared sessions, improvised fragments and long-distance collaboration.

With Cathy Lucas in rural France and Valentina Magaletti and Susumu Mukai in London, the trio exchanged songs and instrumental ideas before reshaping them through collective listening and editing.The result is a restless collage of postmodern songcraft, where instruments and roles constantly shift. Bass, drums and voices move between the three members, while authorship gives way to instinct, curiosity and the pleasure of making something together.Drawing on their experience as multi-instrumentalists and improvisers, Vanishing Twin create music that sits outside easy categorisation. Archives finds the trio pushing into unfamiliar territory with a sense of freedom, surprise and shared purpose.
