The moment when someone running looks down, at their feet, at their legs, not feeling them as their own.
The tension in a tightrope walker's pole; seemingly inert, but in strong and delicate tension, from end to end, maintaining the balance of the body holding it.
The jumps the boat makes in response to a wave passing under its keel. The impetus with which the people the boat carries rise up, and then fall.

The impulse of our body when the train brakes: inertia forcing the torso to move forward a little more, even if the machine that surrounds us comes to a stop.
