Francisco Sousa Lobo - Cartas Inglesas

The new book by Francisco Sousa Lobo brings together 14 visual essays conceived between London and Tormes (thanks to the support of a literary residency from the Eça de Queiroz Foundation), and drawn in Tormes.

These essays range from social observation (in dialogue with Letters from England by Eça de Queiroz), to poetic digression and autobiography. They are the record of a life divided between Portugal and England, and of what emerges from that in-between space. Cartas Inglesas (English Letters) was made possible through the support of a literary residency grant from the Eça de Queiroz Foundation, a result of a partnership between the Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda, the Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries, and the Eça de Queiroz Foundation.
