In Jaime Isidoros, A Arte Sou Eu, the aim is, in fact, to echo an exemplary life story, entirely dedicated and generous, in being and existing through memory and freedom, which significantly contributed to the transformation of the cultural landscape of the city of Porto.

Essentially, Jaime Isidoro's contribution, both as an artist-painter and as a promoter-gallery owner, was decisive from the 1950s onwards with the founding of the Dominguez Alvarez Academy, to which were later added initiatives such as the creation of Revista de Artes Plásticas (Magazine of Plastic Arts), the International Art Encounters in Portugal, and the Biennial of Vila Nova de Cerveira. In this sense, this publication by Edições Afrontamento aims to showcase the overwhelming legacy of Jaime Isidoro, primarily from the second half of the 20th century, which will greatly contribute to a better understanding and awareness of the heroic decades of the city's artistic and cultural life, as well as its fundamental contribution to both the present and future of art and culture.
