In these stories, the incisive edge of a Herbertian poetic breath shines through, the existential restlessness of Camus and the painful stupor of Lispector. However, the great teacher is reality. The stories belong to the caboclo people, to the river dwellers of the Tapajós and Arapiuns rivers.
The storyteller speaks in a white but peripheral way, channeling the voices of Dona Martinha de Suruacá, Sô Hipólito de Muratuba, Senhor Joaquim de Maguari… And Loriane, did she exist? Does she exist?
