Poetas Portugueses de Agora - Lisbon Poetry Orchestra

    25.00€

The Lisbon Poetry Orchestra is a multidisciplinary collective formed by a core of four musicians joined by four voices, who invite other artists to celebrate and interpret poetry in a truly unique journey of discovery and reinvention of the spoken word.

This will consist of several formats: a book, in sketchbook format, with poems by a new generation of authors and illustrations by Daniel Moreira, and two CDs, one with 15 recited poems and the other, Music for Private Poetry Sessions, with 15 themes for the reader to recite over the musical background.

This work stemmed from a creative process in which the poets and writers chosen by the group—Cláudia R. Sampaio, Daniel Jonas, Filipa Leal, Paulo José Miranda, and Valério Romão—were invited to write about musical pieces composed by the Lisbon Poetry Orchestra.

The result is here: 15 musicalized poems that allow the listener/reader a very particular vision of the poetic universe of these authors.

In addition, there is the challenge of interacting with the public through the instrumental CD "Music for Private Poetry Sessions," where the audience is invited to interpret the poems, write new poems for these songs, or even contribute graphically to the book with drawings, collages, or poems, send the results of these experiences to the group, and potentially become part of the community of collaborators in the project.
