V/A - Obras Portuenses da Década de 20 - ltd

“Obras Portuenses da Década de 20” is a special edition that assembles original commissioned works by creators closely connected to the city of Porto, within a project promoted by the Porto City Council through Sonoscopia.

The aim is to capture the contemporary urban life and the city’s sonic heritage — particularly in historic districts such as Miragaia, Campanhã, Bouça or Pasteleira — and translate them into music of invention and research. The works were recorded by a selected ensemble and issued in a two-CD box set format. The edition embodies an artistic approach that explores soundscapes, human architectures and collective portraits of the city, placing itself at the threshold between the everyday and experimentation. “Obras Portuenses da Década de 20” thus emerges as a singular document of Porto-today — ears alert, invisible maps and territories under listening.
